We're very fortunate to offer this exceptional and incredibly rare Pierre Jeanneret cafeteria table, originally designed for Punjab University. This specific model with zinc top, we have never seen offered for sale before.
The zinc surface is beautifully aged, showing natural patina, signs of use, and early repairs, all of which contribute to its rich character. The tabletop is supported by four outward-facing, diagonally set tapered legs, giving the piece a dynamic and sculptural presence. From our entire collection of past and present Jeanneret works, this is possibly the rarest and most signifcant piece we have handled. It is not only aesthetically striking but also carries an undeniable sense of importance commanding attention in any space.
The table has been structurally restored and is presented in museum grade condition. The piece retains a deep, even patina and, aside from the natural zinc jointing, shows no excessive repairs or alterations.
All of our pieces are available to view at our West London showroom. Additional high-resolution images or detailed videos are available upon request. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions.
