A fantastic very early example and original set by Pierre Jeanneret & Eulie Chowdhury. The Rope Back Demountable Chairs and Sofa is exceptionally rare in this form. These pieces where designed in 1951 and originally made for the personal residence of Jeanneret and other key members of the architectural team. Example of this model are photographed in Jeanneret’s home and were published in Marg Magazine, 1951. All three pieces show exceptional patina throughout. The pieces have been fully restored structurally. The cotton webbing was replaced using the same style as the original. The rope backs have been replaced.
