We are pleased to offer for sale a very elegant and refined dining table designed by Nanna Ditzel for Søren Willadsen. Known for her timeless, understated modernism, Ditzel consistently created pieces that embody simplicity, quality, and craftsmanship — and this table is a perfect example. Though visually modest at first glance, it reveals exceptional attention to detail throughout.

The craftsmanship is superb, from the precision of the concealed extension mechanism to the richness of the materials. The extension leaf stores neatly inside the table when not in use, and when extended, both the main top and the leaf align perfectly thanks to matching bookmatched rosewood veneer. The edge banding is crafted from large cuts of contrasting rosewood, adding depth and character to the clean silhouette. The entire surface has been professionally French polished to a soft, elegant sheen, giving the piece a rich, tactile quality. This is a grown-up piece of furniture — sophisticated, subtle, and beautifully made.

The table retains its original maker’s nameplate, confirming its authenticity. The legs can be unscrewed, making the piece easy to move, place, or store as needed.

It measures 170 cm unextended, comfortably seating four to six people, and extends to 230 cm, accommodating six to eight.

The table is presented in excellent vintage condition. There are light marks, small dents, and minor signs of age, all consistent with careful use over time. None of these detract from the overall presentation. The piece has been professionally polished and waxed and is offered in the best possible condition.
